The subscription plan lasts for a minimum of 12 months, then renews monthly thereafter. You can cancel at any time after the 12 months. If you cancel, you don't get to keep the site (otherwise everyone would do that, and we'd quickly go out of business!).
If you cancel before the end of the 12 months, you will be charged the full cost the site would have normally cost ($3,800), less what you have already paid. We value long-term relationships with our clients, and we want to work with people who share this philosophy.
You simply need to sign a new 12-month contract.
Yes, you still own your domain name. We never hold our customers hostage!
Yes, subscriptions are open-ended. You continue to pay monthly after the 12-month minimum period. Typically, it takes us 2 to 3 years to generate the equivalent of what a one-time payment site would have earned us. That's why we hope our clients stay for at least 5 years so that this payment model is profitable and viable for us. At that point, the website will likely be bringing in much more than $150/month in value to your business—in other words, the site will pay for itself. We then hope our clients will continue to see this value and choose to maintain their subscription so that we can continue to improve their site and support them over the long term.
Yes! We offer an optional $60/month add-on for unlimited edits and ongoing support. This add-on also requires a minimum 12-month commitment. This service cannot be activated and deactivated monthly. Once canceled, if you wish to reactivate it, you will need to sign a new 12-month commitment.
The $100 per additional page is a one-time payment. It's not recurring. So if you need 3 more pages, that's $300 and that's it. Not $300 a month—that would be crazy!
No, there is no buyout amount to stop paying the monthly fee. As mentioned in another question, it takes us about 2 to 3 years, including hosting fees, to reach the equivalent of a site sold at the flat rate ($3,800). We implemented this rule because the subscription model is only profitable for us if a client stays for at least 5 years. Waiting 2 years to receive the equivalent of the full amount is not sustainable, especially if we then have to replace that subscription with a new client. It would be simpler (and more profitable) to be paid in full upfront. We also depend on this recurring monthly revenue to maintain financial stability, which allows us to spend more time on client work rather than having to sell non-stop just to cover our costs. This system allows us to be more available, responsive, and invested, and to provide a service far superior to that of the majority of agencies. But if customers repurchase their subscription every month, this breaks this model: we have to sell more, more often, and in the long run, the service deteriorates.
If you are on a subscription and multiple monthly invoices remain unpaid for several months, we reserve the right to terminate the contract. In this case, the client will be required to pay the full amount for the site. We are generally very flexible and understanding in certain situations, and we often offer assistance or accommodations. However, in the absence of communication or response to our messages, we must take certain precautions to ensure we are compensated for the time and effort invested in creating the site, and to prevent abuse.
We send invoices via email through Stripe, which includes a link to a secure page to add payment information. Subscriptions are paid by credit or debit card, and we accept all major credit cards. We do not accept checks.
The biggest difference is the short-term vs. long-term cost. With a subscription, you'll pay more over time, but in small, affordable, and manageable monthly payments. The lump-sum plan lets you pay for everything upfront, saving you money in the long run because design and development are paid for immediately. Choosing between the two depends on your cash flow and your short- or long-term goals. If you don't want to invest a large sum upfront and value the ongoing service that comes with it, the monthly subscription plan is probably the best choice for you. On the other hand, if you don't need the monthly service or prefer not to have recurring payments, the lump-sum plan lets you pay for everything upfront and save money over time.
When you sign a contract and we are unable to create a site that you are fully satisfied with at the beginning of the planning process, we will refund your money in full. Once production has begun or content has been delivered, your money is no longer refundable. However, we remain open to reviewing each situation on a case-by-case basis.
Yes! If you've subscribed to our monthly plan for 3 consecutive years, you're entitled to a complete redesign of your website, completely free of charge. It's our way of thanking you for your loyalty—and ensuring your site remains modern, performant, and up-to-date with current trends. It also ensures you don't feel like you've "overpaid" in the long run: you get ongoing service and a new website at no additional cost.
No, otherwise everyone would do that and we would quickly go bankrupt! On the other hand, you keep your domain name.
SEO consists of two parts: On-page SEO and Off-page SEO. On-page SEO concerns everything on the page, such as your content, load times, accessibility, and structure. Off-page SEO concerns everything off the site, such as link building, guest posts, citations, etc. We include On-page SEO in our packages, such as extremely fast load times, accessibility, content creation, etc to make Google happy.
Yes, absolutely and while it may seem self-serving to say so from an SEO perspective, high-quality SEO is especially effective in competitive niches. That's where you'll need substantial support to compete for top-page rankings against established players with extensive content libraries, strong backlink profiles, hundreds of targeted keywords, and multi-location visibility.
SEO is about earning trust, not demanding attention. Google prioritizes websites that have proven their value over time through relevance, reliability, and user experience. That’s why results don’t happen overnight. In most cases, meaningful progress takes 6–12 months, depending on competition, industry, and starting point. Many competitors you’re up against have websites that have been online for 10+ years, building authority and credibility with Google over time. A new or growing website can’t instantly replace them. Instead, we focus on steadily building your site’s authority through strategic optimization, high-quality content, and sustainable growth. As your website gains trust and credibility, visibility improves, rankings rise, and results compound. SEO is a long-term process—but when done right, it delivers durable, lasting returns.
